Voices

There are at least 3 million people in America. They all have voices. They all have opinions. Though only 146 million people are registered to vote. That is only 1/3rd of our country and only they can voice their opinions. 2/3rds of our county is eligible to vote, all they need to do is become registered. All over social media people are speaking their minds, but they aren't loud enough. We need people to speak louder. They need to be heard and noticed.

I may not have the best grammar. I know I can’t vote. I may be only 14 years old and all of you might be thinking 'This teenage girl is just any other kid thinking they know what’s good for America' and I don't know what bests for America, but I know what I want America to become. I am the next generation and I'm not going to sit by and watch it fall down to ashes. Well maybe not ashes but ya know, same thing.

You know what I want America to become? I want America to become a place where employees aren't under paid, education is changing over time, discrimination towards races and ethnicity ends, people aren't being sexist, no one’s giving labeling each other. There are 12.5% Hispanics in America, 12.3% African Americans in America, and 3.1% of Middle Eastern are in America. They came her for a reason. All these people from other places of the earth came her for a reason. They came for a better chance. They came for better jobs. For better education. They came because they thought America was a diverse country. They came for better chances.
Boy, must they be disappointed

We are still the same as we were in the 1900s. Discrimination, people being unemployed, education is still the same, girls are still being underestimated. Boys are still judged for trying to show their true passions.

Mark Twain once said, "If voting made a difference, they wouldn't let us do it." And so I started thinking. We are the generation that is trying to end smoking. We are the generation that made same sex marriages legal. We even made people believe in talking to a spirit with a paper and two #2 pencils. We are capable of anything. So why not be the generation that ends discrimination and unemployment.

There is only one way and that's if we make our voice heard. I can’t vote, but I know what my voice is capable of. So should you.

I have challenge for you guys.  For the kids who want to make a difference but can’t because they're too young for voting. Go in Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or even Myspace, and let your voice be heard. For the people that are not registered to vote but could, go get yourself registered and have your vice be heard. And for those of you that are registered to vote and are capable of voting the I have one thing to tell you, VOTE.

We need a leader who is trustworthy. Who is smart. Who is understanding. Fair. Powerful. Kind. Openhearted. Brave. Outrages. Selfless. Strong. Independent. Someone who will and can listen to our voices.
